With winter fast approaching, you’ll want to think about getting your garden in order but just because the colder months are upon us, doesn’t mean you can’t have a colourful, beautiful garden like you would in the height of spring and summer.
We’re going to list some stunning winter flowering plants that’ll go superb with your Taylor Made Planter!
Winter Honeysuckle
These white-cream coloured flowers are beautifully fragrant making them attractive to winter-active bumblebees. We think planting these in a wooden planter, such as our Kensington planter, would really make your garden stand out.
Blooming months: December – February
Christmas Rose
The Christmas Rose is one of the first flowers to bloom of the year, typically beginning in January, however, they’ve been known to bloom as early as Christmas day! Pairing this flower with one of our contemporary planters would work best for this delicate flower.
Blooming months: January – March
Pansies
These classic colorful flowers are known for being annual bedding flowers. Their large striking petals (which are in the shape of hearts!) make them a stand out in the frosty months of the year. We think pairing these with a bright white Fibreglass planter will really help these flowers to their full potential.
Blooming months: November – March
Snowdrops
The first bulb of the year to flower, the snowdrop is the pinnacle of a winter garden and their beautiful white crisp look compliments the bare bones of winter. They happily lie under trees and shrubs, however, you can plant your own between or around your other flowers to help make your flower bed stand out.
Blooming months: January – March
Daphne
Daphne’s are colourful shrubs which spring up during the winter months and are commonly a pink or red hue. They’re very fragrant and can be smelt distances away making them perfect for a garden container, like a window flower bed. We recommend partnering them with our Versallies or Classic Wooden planter for a natural finish to your outdoor space.
Blooming months: February – March
Heather
This bright flower is usually a pink or purple colour, giving your winter container the bit of colour it needs! They naturally spread quite fast, meaning you don’t need a lot to get you started, saving you some money. We recommend pairing these with our grey or white Buxus planter for a natural colour pop!
Blooming months: February – March
Our garden planters, whether they’re Wooden, Fibreglass, Fibrestone or Contemporary are suitable for all year round and will help you elevate your space during winter!
